“Hearts of Fire”

“Hearts of Fire”

“Uh, yes, good morning,” the neighbor said. It seemed flustered. “I’m wondering-”

“Yes!”

“Uh, yes, like I said, I’m wondering, if you remember, I asked you a question the last time we were awake?”

“Oh good,” the neighbor said. “Do you have an ans-”

“Yes!!! I want to marry you!”

    1. Thank you! 🙂 RIght! With the 100-word limit I gave up on trying to tell that story but it’s really interesting to think about. What’s their existence like, being awake for maybe an hour or two at a time, and sleeping for who knows how long in between. I guess they’ d have to make the most of every second they’re awake.

    1. Thanks Jade! Yeah, the storyline was kind of simple. I thought about adding a twist at the end but decided I wanted to preserve the sweetness this time, just to mix it up a little. 🙂 My last story was so dark, I wanted to compensate. 😉
