“First find valuable item. Then explain how it is important,” her master said, and left.
She saw a torn balloon, acorns, a metal box, seashells, a rock with a face painted on it, and many more useless items. She shook her head. Nothing seemed valuable.
A while later, her master returned, and she still hadn’t picked an item.
“Too difficult? I help,” Master said.
She watched him pick up something, and carefully place it in her hand. Except, there didn’t seem to be anything there.
“Master, what is it?”
“Grain of sand. You half-done now. Other half easy, yes?”

Hello Amanda! Thanks for the nomination, I’m glad you thought of me. 🙂 I could probably find the time to do the quotes but I’m a bit reluctant to forward challenges like this. I don’t want to disappoint you, of course, I just don’t feel comfortable nominating others. I hope you understand. Cheers!

Hi Sonny. You can always do it and leave the nomination open. But it’s always up to you. No worries 🙂

Stick it up an oyster’s a**? Make a pearl. 😆 Well done, but too deep for me.

Thank you! I completely understand. The main character probably felt the same way. 🙂

Other half easy – no! This is a wonderful take on the prompt! (master said – you might want to capitalize “master” in the fifth line, you might not 😉 )

Thank you! 🙂 I appreciate the feedback! I’ll take a look when I’m at my computer. Is it just that one that should have a big m?

I believe so. It’s like saying Mother as opposed to my mother or a mother. It becomes a proper noun in the fifth line.

I’ve changed it to “Master said”. 🙂 If you know of a good grammar resource online that explains this in more depth, please let me know. Thanks again!
